"Chinese learning for fundamental principles, Western learning for practical application." This phrase, originating from the scholar Zhang Zhidong over a century ago, has become a cornerstone of our architectural thinking and design philosophy since the establishment of "Sherwood Design". This is evident from the meaningful choice of our Chinese name "玄武" (Sherwood) and its phonetically similar English counterpart "Sherwood", hinting at our foundational concept.
